Chinese Internal Martial Arts Intensive Training Camp with George Xu
September 15-20, 2015 (Tuesday-Sunday)

Sonoma Mountain Zen Center, Santa Rosa, California, USA

Master George Xu has hosted this awesome week-long taiji camp for twenty years; this year in beautiful Sonoma County, California. The Zen Center is situated on 80 acres of rolling hills and mountainous land, located 11 miles from the town of Santa Rosa. He is an excellent teacher and one of the rare, high-level masters sharing internal secrets openly.

General Camp Information

Basic training throughout the camp will be drawn from Chen style Taiji, Xing-Yi, Bagua. Participants practicing any form are welcome and will benefit from the internal training applicable to all styles. The main focus of this camp is on The main focus of this camp is on the melting of the structure, creating superior ground force or vertical zhong ding, gravity, whole body one unit connection, space power, superior power all the time against enemy no concave no convex, practice volume not line, practice spiritual not physical and down replace up. We will do qigong, a lot of two person testing, two person drills and applications, push hands.

Where: Sonoma Mountain Zen Center, 11 miles from Santa Rosa, CA. Directions

Transportation: For those flying into San Francisco International or Oakland airports, there is a bus to Sonoma. From Sonoma is a shuttle to the Zen Center at 2 pm and 4pm. Also, George will have a private shuttle bus to the Zen Center from his home in San Francisco. Arrive at his house on Tuesday before 4 pm to get a ride to Sonoma. From the airport, take the Blue Super Shuttle service from SFO to 4309 Lincoln Way, San Francisco. Everyone should simply call George with your travel information so we can help you get to the camp. Lodging: The facilities include a meditation hall converted from a turn-of-the-century redwood barn with pinewood flooring (30’x 40’), surrounded by redwood decks, a cozy dining room (16’ x 26’), a large spacious yurt (30’ diameter), a smaller yurt (20’ diameter), a beautiful restroom/bath house-uniquely inspired by the art of Japanese joinery, and several rustic cabins. Bedding is provided. We will have a minimum of 15 people and a maximum of 30.

Food: Three delicious, mostly vegetarian meals will be provided daily. Participants must provide their own specialty food for unusual diets and food allergies.

8:00 - 10:00 p.m.- Introductory Demonstrations

Wednesday - Saturday 

7:00 - 8:00 a.m. - Morning Warm Ups

10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.- Weak defeat strong.Scientific intellegent power overcomes maximum effort.

12:00 - 1:00 p.m.- Lunch

1:00 - 3:00 p.m.- Free (rest and recreation)
3:00 - 5:30 p.m.- More form, push hand training, fighting applications and weapons with Master George Xu.

6:00 - 7:00 p.m.- Dinner

8:00 - 10:00 p.m.- Push hands, 2-person training; and lectures.

Sunday

7:00 - 8:00 a.m. - Camp Review.

8:00 - 9:00 a.m.- Breakfast

10:00 - 12:00 p.m.- Camp Review

12:00 - 1:00 p.m.- Lunch and check out
