Each year Master George Xu hosts this awesome week-long taiji camp, held in the beautiful coastal redwoods near Santa Cruz, California. He is an excellent teacher and one of the rare, high-level masters sharing internal secrets openly.

Master Yun Yin Sen started internal arts in Yang Style Taiji. Since 1980 he studied with Zhang Chang Xin in 6 Harmony-8 Method, Liu He Pa Fa and Yi Quan Zhang Zuang (post standing). Zhang Chang Xin was one of the top students of Wu Yi Hui, founder of the form. Also since 1882 he studied with Han Qiao (Han Jiao), Lu Gui Yao, Liang Qi Zhong, all masters of 6 Harmony-8 Method (more). In 1992 he became Anhwei Province 6 Harmony-8 Method Association Secretary and is now President. In 1997 he received the government sports association second degree master's certificate. From 1979-2005 he has been been invited to performances and lectures internationally, very active in the world. 1999 to Russia, 2002 to London and 2003 to England.

Daily Training Schedule includes:

Xing-Yi 12 Animal Form and Secrets, Chen Tai Chi, 14 New Tai Chi/Xing Yi Secrets, Longevity Qigong, root, spiral training, weapons, Taiji push hands and secrets.

 

Tuition: $560. Includes room and board and camp t-shirt. Add $40 if you register after June 1. Participants in 2006 camp, $540. Send $100 non-refundable deposit. $10 camp shuttle

General Camp Information

 

Where: The Jones Gulch YMCA Camp is located in the beautiful redwoods about one hour south of San Francisco. Take Highway 1 to Pescadero Road, then south on Jones Gulch Road. A van will be available for transportation from the San Francisco Airport for $10, one way.

 

Transportation: The shuttle van will be at San Francisco International Airport at the USAirways outdoor departure top level (2nd floor) 12:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. on June 12. (Look for the Taiji Camp sign.) Call George Xu at 415-664-4578 when you arrive. If you arrive before or after take the Blue Super Shuttle from the airport to the home of George Xu, 4309 Lincoln Way, SF, next to Golden Gate Park. We can take you to camp from there, too ($10 each way). Shuttles may not be exactly at these times, try for earlier flight if you can. Also departure time should be later in the afternoon on Sunday, if possible.

 

Lodging: Dorm-style bunks are provided. Participants bring their own bedding or sleeping bags. Setting up your own tent is permitted. Separate housing for couples is available. Bring: Sleeping bag, pillow, flashlight, plenty of workout clothes, towels, toiletries, swimsuit, notebook, camera. No animals, guns, alcoholic beverages, or drugs.

 

Food: Three complete meals prepared by a professional staff in a commercial kitchen are provided daily. Participants must provide their own specialty food for unusual diets and food allergies. Vegetarian food is available, please reserve in advance (see registration form.)

Tuesday 

1:00 p.m. Check-in

6:00 - 7:00 p.m.- Dinner

8:00 - 10:00 p.m.- Introductory Demonstrations

Wednesday - Saturday 

6:30 - 8:00 a.m. - 6 Harmony-8 Method, Liu He Pa Fa and Yi Quan Zhang Zuang (post standing), Wu Dan Taiji and internal power and qigong;  taiji basic exercise and root longevity, Yi (mind) and Qi (energy) training, Chen Tai Chi Spiral Training.

8:00 - 9:00 a.m.- Breakfast

10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.- Push Hand, Xing Yi Internal Fighting, New Tai Chi Secrets from China, 10 qualities training, Nei Gong training. 

(Saturday 10:00a.m. wear camp T-shirt for camp photo)

12:00 - 1:00 p.m.- Lunch

1:00 - 3:00 p.m.- Free (rest and recreation)

3:00 - 4:30 p.m.- 6 Harmony-8 Method, Liu He Pa Fa Form class and secrets

4:30 - 5:30 p.m.- Chen and Yang Style Form class and secrets. Qigong

6:00 - 7:00 p.m.- Dinner

8:00 - 10:00 p.m.- Push hands, 2-man training; and lectures.

Sunday

6:30 - 8:00 a.m. - Qigong, taiji basic exercise, Yi (mind) and Qi (energy) training, spiral training and power stretching.

8:00 - 9:00 a.m.- Breakfast

10:00 - 12:00 p.m.- Camp Review

12:00 - 1:00 p.m.- Lunch and check out
